Chipotle

I love Chipotle for lunch and dinner! And was excited to see them in many states across the U.S.

They do not use dairy products with hormones, their foods are organic, for example. Their vegetarian products are true vegetarian, their food tastes GREAT, and so on. I could, quite honestly, since I love black beans, eat there six days a week for lunch or dinner, coming up occasionally for a baked potato and tons of green veggies cooked by my own hands – (or Outbacks) and an occasional huge plate of French Fries from somewhere like Smokey Bones or John G’s*, and last, but by no means least, Bone Fish Grill’s garlic mashed potatoes and awesome ice cold salad. (OK, in fairness, I could eat Bone Fish Grill’s garlic mashed potatoes and awesome ice cold salad six days a week, too… but the beans are better for me.)

If only there was one a tad bit closer….

But, my other choice for black beans is definitely Pollo Tropical.
We have practically lived on them since we moved back down here, including their rice, vinegared tomatoes and onions, plantains, and occasional corn….(and chicken for Leon, of course)

And speaking of lunches, Panera is my very favorite! I should have been born rich – and held on to it, grin. Now, I suppose I will go grab some hummus. (No, I didn’t make it, Athenos Spicy Three Pepper is my favorite! And yes, it has less than 1% of High Fructose Corn Syrup, not a good thing, but I don’t eat many things (anymore) with that stuff in it.) What’s your favorite lunch?

* John G’s, in business thirty-three years has the BEST breakfasts (Hawaiian Omelet, yummy) and great lunches (Vegetarian Corn Chowder sometimes, FRIES, Fish and Fruit, etc.) (just not quite enough vegetarian at lunch for me)… and they garnish their plates with fresh fruit and have fresh roses at all the tables, who would have thought? This was Leon’s Eggs Benedict, a different version of the normal, but we usually split the Hawaiian, there is so much. Even in the summer, if you aren’t in there by 7:30, you are standing in line in the heat!

You somehow knew that I was starving right now and wanted to torture me, didn’t you? :-P

If I lived near a coast, I think I’d eat seafood for like every single meal save breakfast. OK, OK, every once in awhile – once a month maybe – I’d need something like pizza or a cheeseburger as a switch, but for awhile, I’d only want seafood.
