I chose, today, to see what else I could see behind the color pink and it’s association in my own mind with femininity and breast cancer. As usual, I set out to write just one PINK acronym, but several followed. Thinking they were unrelated, I “categorized” each one in an attempt to tie them together. I was surprised I had written them chronologically….
Why my surprise? Because my conscious mind leaps around like a kangaroo on steroids mimicking the crisscross and seemingly random paths of a robotic vacuum. The researcher’s mind may at times work at seemingly random paths, but they have the backing of knowing that path – without the kangaroo on steroids mimicking part!
Today, for me was a lesson in hope for the future: If I can tie something together to almost make it cohesive, can you imagine what a grounded, detail oriented and knowledgeable researcher can do? One with a knack for thinking both inside and outside the box combined with an organized path to get there?
PINK does not come entirely free. It requires money for supplies and to pay for people’s time to research. The “hopeful side effect”, though, that is free! Perhaps, you, too can give one, if not both.

Breast cancer research is something I feel very strongly about. I guess because it’s true, that we all know someone who is affected by it. Cancer is such a horrible disease: it always gets my vote as the number one disease to support.
