I toss my poems, stories, and posts into my documents wherever they land most of the time. Pathetic, I know. Today, I was clicking open each one and dragging them into files based on story/essay/post vs poetry. I paid no attention to the little icons until I was nearly through them all, hours later.
Although reading a few of them as I went was revealing and at times emotional, had I just realized each icon was actually the contents made microscopic, I would have been able to visually see poems vs. essays, etc., and flown through the process. Computers are awesome when we pay attention to them, aren’t they? I use Apple Leopard, does Windows do this as well?
