So, we have lettuce, tiny little plants, that is. We just planted it Sunday and we were able to take off the clear plastic cups that are placed until the shoots come up. I put one back on for the photo. (Excuse the glare)
The one negative is that the grow light bulbs, in theory, have to be replaced every 6 months. I almost took it back, but weighed buying produce shipped for potentially hundreds of miles against it, and kept it. The timer on the light however, we are having issues with and will try to reset it tonight. I hope this is a success, for we want to do herbs next. I can see this could become an obsession much as gardening is for some people, especially since it is ridiculously easy to do. Now, to remember to put the fertilizer tablets in two weeks from this past Sunday.
