Woodstock ’69

I’ve been meaning to look for Woodstock ’69 videos, because years ago, we got rid of all our records… the A/C had leaked on them and the covers were so musty and we wanted to downsize at the time, and so on. What a mistake!

Thousand of videos, I found, these three I chose to share with you. I, also, discovered this site about the Woodstock music releases and other trivia, The Woodstock Project.

(These are so much better with headphones on…)

Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit

It was all I could do to keep from getting up and screaming Try with Janice, but then I am in a condo whose board prefers quiet and had a little self-control left.

Already wired, I found this video of Santana’s Soul Sacrifice. The drums are incredible. Yes, a few naked bodies at the beginning for effect, I suppose, but only a few seconds. I ended up not even watching most of it, got caught up listening to the drums take me away.

Between Janice and Santana, I’m so wired I don’t know how I will sleep. But, at least I’ll be smiling.

So I was reading the post on Reader, and when you got to the part about the naked bodies, the lines must have blurred together for a second because I thought it said “While I was already naked” and I was like … whoa! I thought you were using some self-control while watching/listening to these :) It is 2009 instead of ’69 afterall. (Bummer, huh?)

What a treat to go back in time and see these videos. I was too young to go to Woodstock (or so my parents thought) and then I waited for another one to happen and it never did. Some things in life are a once in a lifetime experience.
