Nothing like getting a text message in the middle of a rotten afternoon of clashing foul moods to bring you back to seeing the good in the day.

Our son texted, hours after the fact, that they had been involved in an accident — BUT everyone was OK.

I noticed Leon and I both finding our moods calming after that. Grateful. Pensive. Relieved. Aware.

Perspective shoved back in place.

  1. Mercy, I missed this! Glad all is well. You are right that a sudden shock will sometimes bring a following of calm (though what a way to do that, eh?)
That following of calm, Shelly, is welcome. But, yeah, what a way to do it! Thanks, Shelly. – MMB
