Hopelessness Unveiled

Hopelessness Unveiled

She sits alone
another dawn passed
another night approaching.

She no longer knows how to reach out
for her past attempts were rejected so often
her heart booted out
any hope for success.

He sits alone
another dawn passed
another night approaching.

He no longer knows how to reach out
for he never learned how
and those that reached for him met their demise
as did his hope.

But does not hope for them
lie now
with you and I?

Time, it was, for poetry, for a reminder that we can make a difference to human beings around us by mere contact. And yes, it was as much a reminder to me, as to all of you. So easy for us to get involved in our own world.

  2. I think we forget sometimes that another needs human companionship. It’s the richest thing we could ever share. Yet we drop the ball at times. I like to think I touched someone’s life (if just one) and made it a bit brighter.

Hope all is well. Have a great day.

MIchelle, I can guarantee you have touched more than just one.-mmb

So true. People need each other- friends, lovers, family. We need loving contact. Very well penned. I enjoyed the read I read it twice. :)

Thank you, C.R.! I know I don’t always follow through as much as I plan on doing, but I try to remember how much difference we all make. – mmb
