Is it a wonder I/we spend a lot of time outdoors or gazing through windows? Kentucky is beautiful in autumn.

We have to walk to see this:

And this:

But this is viewable from Panoply’s windows:

And this:

I lost use of my home page the other day. First thing I tried was turning off plugins. Apparently I did not turn off all of them, or even the correct ones, in my frustration, because tonight I turned off most of the plugins and I have a home page again.

Now, to start blogging again as I’ve researched where to purchase almost everything we need for RV Panoply and our move was put off a few weeks to get the rental painted. That means I can, in theory, relax. A good thing.

And so are dandelion showers. Oh, to be ‘home’ in Washington state

Many of us use our blog or other addresses or a favorite quote as a signature addition to our emails. I do, too. When I email a business, though, I usually remove them – until today.

I’ve added one just for emailing businesses:

Your company depends on how you react to the customer. I am your customer: you are the make it or break it point. Your choice is?

I suppose I could add: Be aware – I will blog on how I was treated as a customer.

Just a thought…. in part, tongue in cheek; in part, cause I am fighting a cold or allergies; in part, because customer service, overall, seems to be on a downturn again.

(I understand some businesses are now reacting to the comments made about them on Twitter….)

Fingers crossed. I just updated to Leopard 10.5.6, and read in a forum that it solved the problem so many of us have had with pdfs freezing the system. Could it be that this coming week when we go into Leon’s work files we can actually get work done in a timely manner? (There went my excuse to goof off the entire Christmas week.)

Fingers Crossed. I so want to fall back in love with my Macs. I could use a reduction in frustration, too. This has been going on since the update to 10.5.5 months ago – and when you work and live together, my frustration is his frustration is my frustration and so on.

Did you know a blank in a real gun can kill a person? I did not, but then I wouldn’t trust an unloaded real gun if you proved to me without a doubt it was unloaded.

But most people are not as careful as I am. (or anal, depending on your perspective)

Another person, a teenager, lost his life because he handled a real gun loaded with a blank. It was not a loss of life that should have happened. And it certainly should have not happened in high school or backstage at any theatre.

Educate yourself and those around you. Please, don’t assume we all know that blanks can kill.

An article on it is found here.

Some of you know, Leon and I won two tickets to our choice of venues for the Celtic Thunder Concert from a contest Shelly had at This Eclectic Life. Thank you, Shelly!

We drove an hour to get there in rain — and it was worth it.– (Keep in mind, I don’t LIKE driving in the rain or even on interstates particularly, especially after being side-swiped by a semi months ago – and it was still worth it!)

That “free concert” cost us 20 dollars to park, 23 dollars in french fries, water, and beer; 20 dollars on a CD; and 80 dollars for two comfy sweatshirt jackets…. but we could have not spent anything and wouldn’t have if we went out all the time.

(A bit like our “free tickets” in Seattle to the last preseason game at Safeco Field.)

The concert, though, was awesome. Leon and I, between us, have some directing, acting, dancing, and choreography experience behind us, so, true to ourselves, we found ourselves critiquing some, rather than just enjoying. Whatever sound problems they had at the beginning, they solved, and we fell into roles of audience and just enjoyed.

I found it amusing that the youngest singer, Damian, brought smiles to Leon’s face when he sang “Puppy Love” and, I think, “Young Love”.

“Danny Boy” was a favorite for Leon; he was raised in England. Their live version was much better than what is on the CD.

So, though Damian did a wonderful job singing “Puppy Love”, I give you instead, “Danny Boy”, sung at the St. Patrick’s Day parade in New York. It shows them all off.

My favorite moments had to be the three drummers alternating among themselves, I am drawn to the primal, Leon says – and… “Ireland’s Call”. Oh my gosh, it was a moment I will remember. They performed it flawlessly and I think without exception, the entire audience was drawn into the song. The videos on You Tube do not capture it, they just don’t, but here it is:

They have concert dates through mid December. It made a nice date night for us. I would do it again.

Now, I have to catch up on work, my modem is working for now, and then there is material to cut for the Good Medicine Project. Have a great music filled day, y’all.
