Shelly’s Only the Good Friday came and went for me, but then I was on a mini vacation, a rare thing for us anymore, especially one involving people rather than just a place. That in itself was good, right?
So run read where her good thoughts led, but first:

I want to rant on the lack of Health Care availability for all at reasonable prices or even free… but in the spirit of Only the Good Friday (on Monday), I won’t. What I will do is share this good thought with you:

We found out last week that although health care costs for retirees for Verizon were increasing by approximately 10%, the cost provided for by the GTE contract I retired under and my particular choice of Health Care options DECREASED by around 30% for next year over this year. That is both exciting and ridiculous, but I can only comment on the exciting part. That means other retirees with the same contract will probably face reduced costs per month for the same coverage, a good thing. For them, (and us, of course) I am truly excited.

Now, let’s put our positive thoughts together and see a future of health benefits for all, regardless of position in life, poor choices, good choices, job, or no job. Let’s see everyone with an equal opportunity to take advantage of medical science IF we choose to…

Please, join me in this… it may seem like a minor step or inconsequential step to you, but in mass, you just never know, it might work. If enough people envision it, someone will come up with a working plan, one better than we can imagine, but we have to put the thought in their head so strong, they can’t ignore it – and it costs you nothing but a moment of your time — and we all waste moments on absolutely nothing. I KNOW I am not the only one.

I see a future, sooner than I would have thought, of health benefits for all, regardless of position in life, poor choices, good choices, job, or no job. Let’s see everyone with an equal opportunity to take advantage of medical science IF we choose to…
